We wove a digital legacy as rich as the fabrics they sell.

FFAB came to us with two decades of textile heritage—a journey that began in 1999 in Kolkata and grew into India’s most trusted destination for natural fashion fabrics. They had the pedigree: 1,375+ artisans and weavers, 10,000+ happy clients across 47+ cities and 17+ countries, flagship stores from Delhi to London. Their fabrics—silks, linens, velvets, hand-block prints, natural dyes—were exquisite.

But their digital presence? It didn’t capture the richness of what they’d built. In an industry moving online, FFAB needed more than a website. They needed a complete digital transformation that honored their legacy while accelerating their future.

The challenge

Selling premium fabrics online is deceptively complex. Designers and boutique owners need to see texture, drape, color accuracy—details that screens struggle to convey. They need customization options for prints, weaves, and embroidery. They need confidence that what arrives matches what they ordered. And they need an experience sophisticated enough to match the products themselves.

FFAB’s existing online presence fell short. The e-commerce platform lacked the visual richness their fabrics deserved. Product discovery felt cumbersome. The checkout experience didn’t inspire confidence. Social media was sporadic. And critically—they weren’t capturing the digital demand their reputation should command.

The brief was comprehensive: rebuild their entire e-commerce presence on Shopify, create social campaigns that showcased their heritage and range, implement lead generation strategies that brought qualified buyers, and manage ongoing e-commerce sales to drive revenue growth.

Our approach

We started with understanding what makes FFAB unique. Through stakeholder interviews and market analysis, we identified their differentiators: unmatched variety, commitment to artisans, customization capabilities, and a legacy of trust. These became the foundation of everything we built.

The Shopify store became a digital textile gallery. We designed an experience that prioritized visual storytelling—high-resolution imagery that captured texture and drape, zoom functionality that revealed weave details, color-accurate photography across devices. The product taxonomy was reimagined around how designers actually think—by fabric type, by technique, by use case, by mood.

We built sophisticated filtering that made navigating 10,000+ SKUs feel effortless. Search that understood both technical terms and creative descriptions. Product pages that told stories—fabric origin, artisan details, styling suggestions, customization options. Collections curated by trend, season, and designer preference.

The checkout experience was streamlined for both bulk buyers and individual designers. Flexible ordering with no minimums. Swatch ordering options. Clear shipping timelines. Payment options that worked for businesses and individuals alike. Every friction point was identified and eliminated.

But building a great store is only half the equation. We launched comprehensive social media campaigns across Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest—platforms where fabric designers live. Content that showcased the artistry: close-ups of intricate embroidery, videos of weaving processes, before-and-after transformations of fabric to garment. Storytelling that honored the artisans behind each piece.

We created educational content—fabric care guides, trend forecasts, styling inspiration—that positioned FFAB as more than a vendor. They became a resource. A partner in the creative process. Each post reinforced brand values: heritage, sustainability, artisan support, design excellence.

Parallel to organic social growth, we launched targeted lead generation campaigns. Strategic audience segmentation—fashion designers, boutique owners, garment manufacturers, fashion students. Compelling ad creative featuring their most striking fabrics. Landing pages optimized for specific buyer personas. Retargeting campaigns that brought browsers back to complete purchases.

We implemented ongoing e-commerce sales management—A/B testing checkout flows, optimizing product descriptions, managing inventory visibility, analyzing purchase patterns to inform merchandising decisions. Monthly performance reviews that identified opportunities and drove continuous improvement.

The results

Today, FFAB’s digital presence matches the sophistication of their textile legacy. The Shopify store doesn’t just sell fabric—it creates an immersive brand experience that converts browsers into loyal customers.

The numbers tell part of the story: significant increases in online revenue, higher average order values, expanded geographic reach, reduced cart abandonment rates. Social channels buzzing with engagement—designers sharing their FFAB creations, tagging the brand, becoming advocates.

But beyond metrics, there’s transformation. FFAB now reaches fashion designers across India and globally who would never have discovered them otherwise. Small boutiques in tier-2 cities can access the same premium fabrics as established Delhi designers. Students and emerging designers can order without minimums, nurturing the next generation of fashion talent.

The e-commerce platform scales with their ambition—ready to handle growing inventory, expanding artisan partnerships, and international growth. Their digital presence now honors their past while accelerating their future.

A 25-year textile legacy, woven into a digital ecosystem built for the next 25 years. That’s what we created for FFAB.
